Jeanne is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and attended graduate school in public administration at the University of Kansas. She served 20 years as director of two nonprofits–a day care center and child abuse treatment agency. She directed a federally funded demonstration project in volunteer management and served as a consultant to several United Way agencies in Kansas City, Missouri. Jeanne is also a professional framer who owned an art gallery and had working studios in Kansas City, Dunedin, Florida and Naples.
She was president of Greater Naples Leadership in Naples, Florida and served on the boards of the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County, Collier County Community Foundation, The League Club, AAUW and CAPA Center for the Arts. She was director for the “Immokalee: Images of Hope” project of the Community Foundation and continues to serve on the Fresh Start for Abused Women Committee. She is a designated C-3 Nonprofit Consultant for the Community Foundation of Collier County.
Jeanne’s children and grandchildren are scattered from coast to coast but enjoy gathering at their summer cottage near Sudbury, Ontario.
